Little Silver Emergency Service

Little Silver Emergency Medical Services is a 100% volunteer organization that responds to all the medical and traumatic emergencies, as well as fire department calls in the borough of Little Silver 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.  LSEMS also provides a stand-by crew for community events such as football games at Red Bank Regional High School, races, graduations at at our local schools, and other large community events where there is potential for an injury or medical emergency.

LSEMS maintains two ambulances and a Emergency Response Vehicle.  We currently have about 20 active members on the rolls who respond to approximately 500 calls a year.

Little Silver EMS was founded in 1954 by a handful of caring volunteers from the Little Silver Fire Company. Since its inception, LSEMS has remained entirely staffed by volunteers.  The Ambulances, supplies and equipment are purchased by tax dollars from the Little Silver Borough and by generous donations from the community.

Little Silver responded to 501 calls during 2017 serving thousands of free man hours. Of these 501 calls, 456 were within the borough of Little Silver. We provided mutual aid to Oceanport 23 times, Shrewsbury 15 times, Rumson 6 times and Eatontown 1 time. These numbers do not include the amount of hours that the squad spent drilling, training and on stand by's.
